Professeur Zhu's area of research is in polymer chemistry, with emphasis in both polymer synthesis and characterization. The research projects in his group focus on the developments of polymer materials for the biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. More specifically, his research interests are in the area of polymer gels, degradable polymers, dental resins, biosensors and nanoporous materials. He also holds the Canada Research Chair in polymeric biomaterials.
